WINTER SPORTS – Downhill skiing, Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing

Santa Fe, New Mexico, located at the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains, is a great place to be in the winter months. You can go skiing at the Santa Fe Ski Basin, or explore back country trails. There are also many alpine trails where you can snowshoe or go cross country skiing. Come enjoy the wintry splendor of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with your own private guide!

Cross country skiing – the Norski trail at 10,000 feet

Located near the Santa Fe Ski Basin, the Norski trail is a wonderful place to go cross country skiing. While there are some sections with slopes, the trail is relatively level and it’s truly enjoyable for beginners as well as experienced skiers. Total distance is 2.5 miles. Beginners can use cutoffs to reduce the length and avoid difficult sections, and faster and more experienced skiers can repeat the serpetine loops.
